This high grade silver massive bracelet features classic "rise" design, a traditional silversmith technique  from the hill tribe
people
of the Golden Triangle (Thailand Laos and
Burma). Each wire is made by hand, drawing it through successively smaller holes in iron or bronze plates till the correct size is achieved. The silver is very likely from French piastre or saddle money. Purchased at the Betel Box shop in Bangkog Thailand in the late 1970s. The weight and measurements are approx.
