    1840 Henry Clay Presidential Campaign Token ONLY Year Type
    Measuring 28mm is this Clay token with nice choco brown color. AND this piece is sharply struck in the reverse center with full sharp "WE." On most pieces, that area is very weakly struck and does not show any of the "WE," not even its shadows...even on UNC pieces. There is a whole bunch of Clay medals and tokens from 1844 campaign onward, but this piece is THE ONLY one from his 1840 run, so every collector needs this one for type.
