Cosatu national strike | Unions demand jobs and better wages

DURBAN – Unions are vowing to continue putting pressure on government to improve the lives of all South Africans.
It comes after Cosatu led a National day of Action against unemployment and a sluggish economy. 
The unions also want an end to what they call unfair retrenchment practices facing all sectors of the economy.

Unions picketed at the Reserve Bank, JSE and Parliament. 
As bargaining season takes place and the cost of living continuing to rise, tensions are running high between workers and employers.
Trade unions have vowed to continue to put pressure on government to improve the lives of South Africans struggling to make ends meet.
